Friends and Florals!!

Hey Everyone,
  I promised myself that I would be more proactive in making new friends. Growing up my family moved alot and I found that it was hard maintaining friendships. As an adult I find it's harder to sustain them because of being soo busy with family, work, etc. So today I initiated contact with a woman I consider to be a great potential FRIEND!! I thought I would wear something fun and versatile so I would be prepared for whatever the day had to offer!! Whatcha think??

This skirt is so playful and full I couldn't help but too twirl like a little girl with excitement when I found it. I paired it with a bright yellow top and black Mary Jane wedges. I loved this look!! Airy and fun. Fun times and more fashion to come!!  Do you guys ever have issues with finding genuine girlfriends as adults?? I would love to hear from you, until next time, Stay Sweet, Candi!!! 

Rockin Romper!!

Hey Everyone, so this week I found a cute pair of wedges for $20 bucks. But unfortunately for me the buckle was broken and they were a final sale. Soo I searched and found the cutest little locally owned shop and this awesome street for pics in New Orleans. I sometimes dress a tad eccentric for some, but this outfit was cute and fun mixed with a little rocker girl!!

Graphic Prints, Polka Dots, and Denim, OH MY!!





I have mentioned in a past post that I love black and white!! My outfit this time is remixed with a little blue, and Graphic Prints!!  This seasons trends are incorporated in abundance with this look. So I started with these loose fitting white jeans, I than added the Polka dot tube top. I completed this look with the Denim Vest, Graphic Print Blue Wedges, white aviators, and black and white Coach tote!! When choosing my jewelry selection I kept it simple by using gold stud earrings, watch, single bangle bracelet and choker necklace.

 Running Errands never looked so stylish!!

Dreams of Beach Living

Good Morning Everyone, my family and I recently rented a condo in Gulf Shores Alabama for a quick getaway, and boy was it nice!  With the summer in full swing what better way to spend parts of it than on a beach. The atmosphere is breathtaking, and so peaceful that you almost forget your only a couple of hours away from home. With that being said, running on the hamster wheel we call life, we often times get caught up in routine and the thought of a Vacation seems so out of reach. I have found that living in Louisiana we have so many options of cheap quick getaways, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi all have beaches!! So getaway as much as you can, see something new. I'm thinking retirement  will definitely be on a beach somewhere!! Have a fun and safe Summer everyone!!

Sultry Success!!!

 Joy's of motherhood, watching both of my babies graduate!! I spent my Memorial Day attending ceremonies promoting my children to the next levels of their educations. Sometimes I ask myself jf all of the things that you try to instill into your kids actually gets across to them, well I believe it has. As I grow in life with all of my endeavors and accomplishments, my family is my proudest accomplishment.  One of the things that define success to me is making sure my kids have  the proper tools to succeed and are prepared for what life has to offer them, to the best of my ability.

Tie-Dye'd "Maxi"piece!

 

Hey Everyone, how was your memorial day spent? My holiday was spent just the way I like, with family. Sometimes I forget what an influence we have on our younger generation. I have many nieces and nephews who look up to me, and I believe it is our duty as aunts and uncles to stay close and teach our up and coming leaders to really be true to themselves and experience each moment whole hearted. Laugh, play and be kids. Have dreams and goals for themselves, respect their elders and to have faith. What better example to lead than to follow my own dreams and aspirations in life!!! One of my cousins recently told me that she was so happy to see that I am still into fashion because she remembered us as little girls, I would be the one creating my own styles!!! OMG, thanks for that cousin, I truly did not remember that!!  Do you guys remember some of the things you did as a child that you are presently doing?

The Outfit:  I chose comfort first and foremost today, but why leave out fashion?? This maxi dress I thought was awesome, it's trending this season, as well as the tie-dye print! I threw on the denim vest for the layered look. White accessories kept this look cool and easy going.

Color Splash

 The weekend's here, Yippee!!!  Unfortunately my weekend started with my daughter poking me in the eye and an emergency visit to the optometrist. Three prescriptions later I'm still smiling.LOL. I was told my right eyes upper left cornea was scraped off! OMG. But all is well, and I'll be hidden behind sunshades for awhile.On a lighter note, I went bold and bright today with this Splash of Color GREEN!  I always try to dress comfy, chic and airy if possible, because in New Orleans it's HOT!! I ran across this beautiful top in a local consignment store it was soo beautiful I had to have it, and of course it's' definitely a must with this seasons trends. I paired it with basic black shorts, and kept it casual with the addition of neutral colored sandals,purse,belt and sunshades. As we go into the Memorial Day holiday, what are some of your go to clothes, to remain fashionable but comfy!!
